Yankees win on a walk-off in ten innings over the Orioles

 The New York Yankees defeated the Baltimore Orioles on Saturday.  The game took place at 

Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, New York and the final score was 2-1 in ten innings.  Jordan Montgomery

started for the Yankees and he pitched great and the bullpen was excellent.  The Yankees offense only 

managed five hits.  

Montgomery pitched 5 2/3 innings giving up three hits and an unearned run.  He walked one and struck

out nine.  Chad Green pitched 1 1/3 innings with a strikeout, Zack Britton pitched an inning giving up a

hit and Aroldis Chapman pitched a perfect inning with two strikeouts.  Jonathan Holder won his third 

game of the season pitching a perfect inning.  

Dean Kremer pitched five innings giving up four hits and a run.  He walked three and struck out

seven.  Dillon Tate pitched 2/3 of inning, Tanner Scott pitched 1/3 of an inning and gave up a walk 

and Cesar Valdez pitched three innings giving up a hit and he struck out one.  Hunter Harvey pitched

1/3 of an inning giving up an unearned run.  

DJ LeMahieu had a hit, Luke Voit had an RBI and Aaron Hicks drew two walks.  Clint Frazier had a 

hit and an RBI, Gleyber Torres had a hit and Brett Gardner had a hit.  Gary Sanchez had a hit and drew

a walk, Mike Ford drew a walk and LeMahieu and Sanchez each hit a double.  Frazier hit a triple and 

the Yankees were 0-8 with runners in scoring position and left nine men on base.  Montgomery, Gardner

and LeMahieu each committed an error.  

Hanser Alberto had a hit, Jose Iglesias had a hit and Ryan Mountcastle had two hits, an RBI and drew

a walk.  Mountcastle hit a double and the Orioles were 1-8 with runners in scoring and left seven men

on base.  

In the first Frazier hit a sac fly to give the Yankees a 1-0 lead.  In the sixth Mountcastle hit an RBI 

single to tie the game at one.  In the tenth Voit hit a walk-off sacrifice fly to give the Yankees a 2-1

victory.  

New York Yankees sweep the doubleheader over the Baltimore Orioles

 The New York Yankees defeated the Baltimore Orioles on Friday night.  The game took place at Yankee

Stadium in the Bronx, New York and was game two of a doubleheader.  The final score was 10-1.  

Masahiro Tanaka started for the Yankees and he pitched well, the bullpen also pitched well.  Luke Voit 

led the offense with three hits and six RBI.  

Tanaka pitched five innings giving up three hits and a run.  He struck out five and won his second game 

of the season.  Luis Cessa pitched an inning giving up a hit and Brooks Kriske pitched an inning giving 

up a walk and he struck out two.  

Keegan Akin started for the Orioles and he pitched 2/3 of an inning giving up three hits and four runs 

with a walk and a strikeout.  Travis Lakins Sr. pitched 2 1/3 innings giving up two hits and a walk

with a strikeout, Asher Wojciechowski pitched 1 2/3 innings giving up five hits and six runs with three

walks and a strikeout and Carson Fulmer pitched 1 1/3 innings with a strikeout.  

DJ LeMahieu had two hits and  and drew a walk, Voit had three hits and six RBI and Aaron Hicks had 

a hit.  Clint Frazier had an RBI and drew a walk, Gleyber Torres had two hits and an RBI and Miguel

Andujar had a hit and two RBI.  Gary Sanchez had a hit, Brett Gardner drew two walks and Thairo

Estrada drew a walk.  Andujar, LeMahieu and Hicks each hit a double and Voit hit two homeruns.  

The Yankees were 4-18 with runners in scoring position and left five men on base.  Ford committed

an error.

Cedric Mullins had a hit, D.J. Stewart had two hits and an RBI and Rio Ruiz had a hit and drew a 

walk.  Stewart hit a double and he also hit a homerun.  The Orioles were 0-4 with runners in scoring

position and left four men on base.  Mullins was caught stealing.  

In the first Stewart hit a solo homerun giving the Orioles a 1-0 lead.  In the bottom of the first Frazier

reached on a fielder's choice and a run scored tying the game at one.  Torres hit an RBI single, Andujar

hit a two-run double and it was 4-1 Yankees.  In the fourth Voit hit a three-run homerun and the 

Yankees lead was stretched to 7-1.  In the fifth Voit hit another three-run homerun and the lead was 

10-1 and that would be the final score.  The two teams will play game three of four on Saturday.

New York Yankees take game one of a doubleheader in shutout over the Orioles

 The New York Yankees defeated the Baltimore Orioles on Friday.  The game took place at Yankee 

Stadium in the Bronx, New York and the final score was 6-0 in seven innings as it was game one of a 

doubleheader.  Gerrit Cole started for the Yankees  and he pitched great.  The Yankees offense was led by

Mike Tauchman who had three hits and Brett Gardner who had two hits and two RBI.  

Cole won his fifth game of the season pitching seven shutout innings and giving up two hits and a walk.  

He also struck out nine batters.  

Alex Cobb pitched four innings giving up seven hits and five runs with a walk and five strikeouts.  

Cobb took his fourth loss of the season.  Thomas Eshelman pitched two innings giving up two hits and 

a run with two walks and two strikeouts.  

DJ LeMahieu had a hit and an RBI, Luke Voit had a hit and Gardner had two hits, two RBI and drew a 

walk.  Gleyber Torres had a hit and drew a walk, Gary Sanchez drew a walk and Tauchman had three

hits and an RBI.  Kyle Higashioka had a hit and two RBI, Torres hit a double and LeMahieu, Gardner

and Higashioka each hit a homerun.  The Yankees were 2-8 with runners in scoring position and left 

four men on base.  Tauchman had a stolen base and Gardner was caught stealing twice.  LeMahieu 

committed an error.

Ryan Mountcastle drew a walk, Renato Nunez had a hit and Hanser Alberto had a hit.  The Orioles were

0-1 with runners in scoring position and left four men on base.  Severino had a passed ball.  

In the first LeMahieu hit a solo homerun and Gardner hit a two-run homerun to give the Yankees a 3-0

lead.  In the second Higashioka hit a two-run homerun to extend the lead to 5-0 and in the sixth 

Tauchman hit an RBI single to make it 6-0 which would be the final score.
