Yankees offense mostly silent again as they lose to White Sox

The Yankees were able to score a couple of runs in tonights game.  They were on two solo homeruns by Robinson Cano and Brett Gardner.  Ivan Nova pitched a great 6 1/3 innings for the longest outing of his short career but Rafael Soriano gave up a two run homerun in the eighth inning to Paul Konerko and Brent Lillibridge becamse a household name.  Lillibridge made two game saving catches in the ninth off of A-rod and Cano that you have to see to believe.

Arod hit the ball to the wall and he caught it as he was crashing into the wall and then the Cano catch was even better as he dove for a sinking tailing liner down the line that would of won the game for the Yankees and brought pie to the face of Cano.  The Yankees became the last team in baseball to lose two in a row.

The Yankees are now 12-8 on the season and still in first place in the AL East by three games in the loss column.  It has been a tough two games but this one they feel they should of won and you just have to congratulate the White Sox because that kid who was a pinch runner in the eighth inning made two great catches.

The two teams will play game three of four tomorrow night with Bartolo Colon on the mound.
