New York Yankees pitching was really good again in 1-0 loss to the Miami Marlins

The New York Yankees defeated the Miami Marlins on Tuesday afternoon.  The game took place in Jupiter, Florida and the final score was 1-0 Marlins.  CC Sabathia made his first start of the spring and pitched very well, the bullpen also did well.  Aaron Hicks led the offense with a couple of hits.

Sabathia pitched two scoreless innings giving up one walk and he struck out two batters.  Luis Cessa pitched two perfect innings with a strikeout, Tyler Olson pitched an inning giving up a walk and he struck out one and Kirby Yates pitched a perfect inning with a strikeout.  Nick Rumbelow pitched an inning giving up two hits and a run with a walk and Chasen Shreve pitched a perfect inning, striking out a batter.

Didi Gregorius had a hit, Hicks had two hits and Chase Headley had a hit.  Rob Refsnyder had a hit and drew a walk and Chris Parmelee drew two walks.  Hicks and Refsnyder hit a double and the Yankees were 0-7 with runners in scoring position and left six men on base.

In the bottom of the seventh Chris Johnson hit an RBI single to give the Marlins a 1-0 lead and that would hold as no other runs were scored in the game.  The Yankees are now 2-5 in the grapefruit league and will head to Port St. Lucie to take on the New York Mets on Wednesday afternoon.
