New York Yankees even the series with Baltimore

 The New York Yankees defeated the Baltimore Orioles on Saturday night.  The game took place at 

Camden Yards in Baltimore, Maryland and the final score was 4-1.  Jhony Brito started for the Yankees

And he pitched well.  The bullpen also pitched well and Giancarlo Stanton led the offense with a couple

Of hits.  

Brito pitched five innings giving up three hits and a run with two walks and two strikeouts.  Brito won his

Second game of the season.  Michael King pitched two innings giving up a hit and he struck out three, 

Wandy Peralta pitched a scoreless inning giving up a walk and he struck out two and Clay Holmes

Pitched an inning with a walk and a strikeout and he earned his second save of the season.  

Cole Irvin started for the Orioles and he pitched 4 2/3 innings giving up four hits and three runs with 

Four walks and five strikeouts.  He lost his second game of the season.  Austin Voth pitched two innings

Giving up two hits and a run with a strikeout, Keegan Akin pitched 1 1/3 innings giving up a hit and 

Mike Baumann pitched an inning giving up a walk and a strikeout.  

DJ LeMahieu had a hit and an RBI, Aaron Judge had a hit, an RBI and drew a walk and Anthony Rizzo

Drew a walk.  Stanton had two hits and an RBI, Gleyber Torres had a hit and drew two walks and 

Aaron Hicks had a hit and an RBI.  Kyle Higashioka drew a walk, Anthony Volpe had a hit and LeMahieu

Hit a double.  Volpe hit a triple and Stanton hit a homerun.  The Yankees were 2-8 with runners in scoring

Position and left six men on base.  Torres was caught stealing and Higashioka committed an error.  

Cedrick Mullins had a hit, Adley Rutschman had a hit and drew two walks and Anthony Santander had an 

RBI.  Gunnar Henderson drew a walk, Kyle Stowers drew a walk and Adam Frazier had a hit.  

Ramon Urias had a hit, The Orioles were 0-5 with runners in scoring position and left seven men on base.  

Henderson had a stolen base.  

In the bottom of the first Santander hit a sac fly giving the Orioles a 1-0 lead.  In the fourth Hicks hit an 

RBI single tying the game at one.  In the fifth LeMahieu hit an RBI double giving the Yankees a 2-1 lead.  

Judge hit a sac fly and it was 3-1 Yankees.  Stanton hit a solo homerun extending the lead to 4-1 and that

Was the final score.  The two teams will play the rubber game of the series on Sunday afternoon.
