Granderson had two hits, Eric Campbell had a hit and drew a walk and Lucas Duda had a hit, an RBI and drew two walks.  Michael Cuddyer had a hit, Daniel Murphy had a hit and drew a walk and Wilmer Flores had a hit.  John Mayberry Jr. had a hit and an RBI, Kevin Plawecki had a hit and Juan Lagares had a hit.  Granderson hit two doubles and the Mets were 2-6 with runners in scoring position and left nine men on base.  Campbell committed an error and Flores was picked off.

Kolten Wong had a hit, Matt Holliday had a hit and Jhonny Peralta had a hit and drew two walks.  Matt Adams had two hits, Yadier Molina had three hits and drew a walk and Jason Heyward had a hit and an RBI.  Peralta, Holliday and Heyward each hit a double and the Cardinals were 0-11 with runners in scoring position and left 11 men on base.

In the fourth Duda hit an RBI single to make it 1-0 Mets.  In the ninth Heyward hit a sac fly to tie the game at one.  The Mets won the game in the 14th on a Mayberry Jr. RBI walk-off single for the 2-1 win.  The two teams will play game two on Tuesday night.
