Melk does a body good

Melky Cabrera asked for 1.7 million from the Yankees, the Yanks wanted to give him 1.2 million. They settled at 1.4 million. That is a pretty nice raise for a guy who hit 249 last year. He will also have a chance to get an additional 100,000 in incentives from 525 plate appearances to 600. 25,000 each for reaching 525,550,575,600. I think Melky is a better player then he showed last year but he may not even win a starting job this year. That is a lot of money for him but in the Yankees world I guess its pennies.
