Spring Game 29: Yankees at Phillies

It is not a typo seeing Jeter leadoff and Damon second, Joe Girardi may do this for the season, he said today he will try it for a few days and if it works keep doing it. The thinking is that if Gardner is the CF you break up the lefties. I am thinking maybe they are also thinking ahead that if Damon is gone next year they need a leadoff hitter and why not get Jeter used to it if it works. Joba will get a good test today facing the Phillies A lineup. The game is on YES and for those of us who have to work im sure the replay is on tonight at 7. I will be back later with a recap and some notes. Ian Kennedy is pitching for the AAA yankees in minor league camp and I will have those notes also later.
