Yankees at the White House
The New York Yankees visited the White House today on their day off. Nick Swisher was there as well as Xavier Nady, Joba Chamberlain, Cody Ransom, Edwar Ramirez, Jose Veras, Phil Coke, Jonathan Albaladejo, Ramiro Pena. They took a 90 minute private tour that included the West Wing, Rose Garden and Oval Office. There were a total of 22 players, coaches and others in the traveling party in attendance. Peter Abraham of the Journal News and http://yankees.lhblogs.com had this on his blog, thanks to him for pointing this out.

Kind of weird. I mean, why would they visit the White House? Is Obama bored?
ReplyDeleteThe funny thing is the President wasn't even there he was in Iraq, I don't know why other then Joe Biden threw out the first pitch on Monday and invited them. They are the Yankees so they do what they want basically.
