The Yankees have lost 2 straight but remain 7 1/2 games ahead of the Red Sox and 5 ahead of the Angels for homefield advantage throughout the playoffs. Here are some notes and the lineup via Peter Abraham.
The Yankees have been outscored by the Orioles 17-7 in this series. The Yankees are 12-5 against them this season.
The Yankees haven't lost 3 straight since July 30-Aug 1st in Chicago. They haven't lost 3 straight at home since the beginning of the season when A-rod wasn't around.
CC is 6-0 with a 2.31 era in his last 8 starts. He is 3-1 with a 2.63 era against the O's this season and hasn't allowed a homerun in 27 1/3 innings.
A-rod is 17 of 40 this month with 13 rbi's.
Derek Jeter is in a mini slump going 6 of his last 25.
MO has allowed one run in his last 30 appearances. Since June 16th he has as many rbi's as runs allowed. This guy is just a machine, no doubt the best there ever was. I can't wait to see him inducted into the Hall of Fame.

A-rod(3B)
