New York Mets defeat the San Diego Padres


The New York Mets defeated the San Diego Padres on Friday night.  The game took place at Petco Park in San Diego, California and the final score was 5-1.  Jacob deGrom started for the Mets and pitched great.  Asdrubal Cabrera, Juan Lagares and Jose Lobaton all led the offense with two hits. 

deGrom pitched 7 1/3 innings giving up five hits and no runs with three walks and eight strikeouts.  deGrom won his third game of the season.  Jerry Blevins pitched to one batter and got him out, AJ Ramos pitched to one batter and got him out and Matt Harvey pitched an inning giving up a hit and a run with a walk. 

Clayton Richard pitched 6 2/3 innings giving up six hits and three runs with three walks and four strikeouts.  Richard lost his third game of the season, Craig Stammen pitched 1/3 of an inning giving up two hits and a run with a strikeout, Kazuhisa Makita pitched an inning giving up a hit and a run and he struck out one and Jordan Lyles pitched an inning with a walk and a strikeout. 

Cabrera had two hits, three RBI and drew a walk, Yoenis Cespedes had a hit and drew two walks and Todd Frazier had a hit and an RBI.  Michael Conforto drew a walk, Lagares had two hits and Lobaton had two hits and an RBI.  Amed Rosario had a hit, Cabrera and Lobaton each hit a double.  Cabrera hit a homerun and the Mets were 2-6 with runners in scoring position and left seven men on base. 

Wil Myers had a hit, Eric Hosmer drew a walk and Christian Villanueva had a hit.  Franchy Cordero had two hits and an RBI, Jose Pirela drew two walks and Freddy Galvis had two hits.  Austin Hedges drew a walk, Cordero hit a homerun and the Padres were 0-3 with runners in scoring position and left six men on base.  Cordero was caught stealing. 

In the first Frazier hit an RBI single to give the Mets a 1-0 lead.  In the seventh Cabrera hit a three-run homerun to push their lead to 4-0.  In the eighth Lobaton hit an RBI double to extend their lead to 5-0.  In the ninth Cordero hit a solo homerun to cut the lead to 5-1. 

The two teams will play game two of three on Saturday night.   

The New York Yankees defeat the Anaheim Angels in extra innings


The New York Yankees defeated the Anaheim Angels Of Anaheim on Friday night.  The game took place at Angel Stadium of Anaheim in Anaheim, California and the final score was 4-3 in ten innings.  Luis Severino started for the Yankees and he pitched well, the bullpen pitched a scoreless three innings and Didi Gregorius had three hits and Miguel Andujar two to lead the offense. 

Severino pitched seven innings giving up five hits and three runs with a walk and eight strikeouts.  Jonathan Holder pitched a perfect inning, David Robertson pitched a perfect inning with a strikeout and won his first game and Aroldis Chapman saved his fifth game of the season pitching an inning and giving up a hit. 

Andrew Heaney pitched five innings giving up five hits and two runs with one of them being earned.  He walked one and struck out nine, Jim Johnson pitched a perfect inning with a strikeout, Cam Bedrosian pitched a perfect inning and Justin Anderson pitched an inning with a walk and a strikeout.  Keynan Middleton pitched an inning giving up a hit and a run with two walks and a strikeout and Blake Parker pitched an inning giving up a hit and a run with a strikeout.  Parker took his first loss of the season. 

Aaron Hicks had an RBI and drew a walk, Gregorius had three hits and an RBI and Giancarlo Stanton had a hit and drew a walk.  Gary Sanchez drew a walk, Neil Walker had an RBI and Andujar had two hits.  Gleyber Torres drew a walk, Ronald Torreyes had a hit and Brett Gardner had an RBI.  Gregorius hit a double and Andujar hit two doubles.  Gregorius hit a homerun and the Yankees were 1-8 with runners in scoring position and left seven men on base. 

Ian Kinsler drew a walk, Mike Trout had a hit and Justin Upton had a hit.  Albert Pujols had a hit, Shohei Ohtani had a hit and an RBI and Andrelton Simmons had a hit and two RBI.  Zach Cozart had a hit which was a double and Simmons hit a triple and Ohtani hit a homerun.  The Angels were 1-4 with runners in scoring position and left two men on base.  Kinsler was caught stealing and Simmons committed an error and Calhoun had an outfield assist. 

In the second Ohtani hit a solo homerun to give the Angels a 1-0 lead.  In the fifth Hicks hit a sac fly to tie the game at one.  In the sixth Walker flied into a sac fly double play even though it should have only been one out.  The Yankees took a 2-1 lead and in the seventh Simmons hit a two-run triple to give the Angels a 3-2 lead.  In the ninth Gardner hit a sac fly to tie the game at three and in the tenth Gregorius hit a solo homerun to give the Yankees a 4-3 lead and that was the final score. 

The two teams will play game two of three on Saturday night.

New York Mets lose to the St. Louis Cardinals in 13 innings


The New York Mets were defeated by the St. Louis Cardinals on Thursday afternoon.  The game took place at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, Missouri and the final score was 4-3 in 13 innings.  Noah Syndergaard started for the Mets and he pitched well.  Yoenis Cespedes and Jay Bruce each had two hits to lead the offense. 

Syndergaard pitched 7 1/3 innings giving up six hits and two runs with one of them being earned.  He walked none and struck out seven.  Robert Gsellman pitched 2/3 of an inning giving up a hit, Seth Lugo pitched an inning with a walk and Jeurys Familia pitched an inning giving up two hits and a run with a strikeout.  AJ Ramos pitched a perfect inning with two strikeouts and Paul Sewald lost his first game of the season pitching 1 1/3 innings giving up two hits and a run with a walk and a strikeout.   

Carlos Martinez pitched six innings giving up four hits and a run with three strikeouts, Dominic Leone pitched an inning giving up two hits and a run with a strikeout and Bud Norris pitched a perfect inning with two strikeouts.  Greg Holland pitched an inning giving up a hit and he struck out one, Luke Gregerson pitched 2/3 of an inning giving up two hits and a run with two walks and Matt Bowman pitched 1/3 of an inning and retired the only batter that he faced.  John Gant pitched three perfect innings with a strikeout and he won his first game of the season. 

Brandon Nimmo had a hit, Cespedes had two hits and two RBI and Bruce had two hits.  Todd Frazier had a hit, Adrian Gonzalez had a hit and drew a walk and Michael Conforto had a hit.  Jose Lobaton had an RBI and drew a walk.  Amed Rosario had a hit, Cespedes hit a double and the Mets were 0-7 with runners in scoring position and left 11 men on base.  Rosario committed an error. 

Matt Carpenter had a hit, Tommy Pham had four hits and an RBI and Jose Martinez had a hit, an RBI and drew a walk.  Marcell Ozuna had two hits and an RBI, Dexter Fowler had a hit and an RBI and Paul DeJong had two hits and drew a walk.  Pham, DeJong and Martinez each hit a double and the Cardinals were 3-9 with runners in scoring position and left nine men on base.  Pham was caught stealing and DeJong committed an error. 

In the first Cespedes hit an RBI double to give the Mets a 1-0 lead.  In the seventh Cespedes hit a sac fly to push the Mets lead to 2-0.  In the bottom of the seventh Ozuna hit an RBI single to cut the lead to 2-1.  In the eighth Pham hit an RBI single to tie the game at two.  In the tenth Lobaton drew an RBI walk to give the Mets a 3-2 lead and in the bottom of the tenth Martinez hit an RBI double to tie the game at three.  In the 13th Folwer hit an RBI walk-off single to give the Cardinals a 4-3 lead.

New York Mets are blown out by the St. Louis Cardinals


The New York Mets were defeated by the St. Louis Cardinals on Wednesday night.  The game took place at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, Missouri and the final score was 9-1.  Steven Matz started for the Mets and he didn’t pitch very well and Corey Oswalt pitched pretty well out of the bullpen.  The Mets offense produced seven hits but no player had more than one hit. 

Matz lost his second game of the season and he pitched 3 1/3 innings giving up five hits and seven runs with three of them being earned.  He walked two and struck out three and Oswalt pitched 4 2/3 innings giving up two hits and two runs with four strikeouts. 

Michael Wacha pitched six innings giving up five hits and a run with a walk and eight strikeouts and he won his fourth game of the season.  John Brebbia pitched three innings giving up two hits and no runs with four strikeouts and got his first save of the season. 

Michael Conforto had a hit, Yoenis Cespedes had a hit and Jay Bruce had a hit and an RBI.  Todd Frazier had a hit and drew a walk, Jose Lobaton had a hit and Matz had a hit.  Amed Rosario had a hit, the Mets were 1-5 with runners in scoring position and left seven men on base.  Matz, Lobaton and Frazier each committed an error. 

Harrison Bader drew a walk, Dexter Fowler had two RBI and drew a walk and Jose Martinez had a hit and an RBI.  Marcell Ozuna had a hit and two RBI, Paul DeJong had two hits and Jedd Gyorko had a hit and two RBI.  Kolten Wong had two hits, Wacha had an RBI and DeJong hit a double and Gyorko hit a homerun.  The Cardinals were 3-8 with runners in scoring position and left five men on base.  Molina committed an error. 

In the third Bruce hit an RBI single to give the Mets a 1-0 lead.  In the third Fowler hit a sac fly to tie the game at one.  Ozuna hit a two-run single to give the Cardinals a 3-1 lead.  In the fourth Wacha hit a sac bunt and a run scored to push the lead to 4-1.  Fowler drew an RBI walk and Martinez grounded into a force out to make it 6-1.  Ozuna reached on a fielding error and the score was 7-1.  In the fifth Gyorko hit a two-run homerun to push the lead to 9-1 and that would be the final score. 

   

New York Yankees sweep the Minnesota Twins


The New York Yankees defeated the Minnesota Twins on Thursday afternoon.  The game took place at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, New York and the final score was 4-3.  Jordan Montgomery started for the Yankees and he battled, the bullpen pitched well.  Giancarlo Stanton had two hits and Gary Sanchez hit the walk-off homerun to lead the offense. 

Montgomery pitched five innings giving up four hits and two runs with three walks and six strikeouts.  Domingo German pitched three innings giving up four hits and a run with a walk and three strikeouts and Dellin Betances pitched a perfect inning with three strikeouts. 

Kyle Gibson pitched six innings giving up one hit and no runs with three walks and ten strikeouts.  Addison Reed pitched an inning giving up a hit and a run with a strikeout, Zach Duke pitched an inning giving up a hit and he struck out one and Fernando Rodney blew his third save and took his second loss.  He didn’t record an out and gave up two hits and three runs with two of them being earned. 

Brett Gardner had a hit and drew a walk, Aaron Judge drew two walks and Stanton had two hits.  Sanchez had a hit and three RBI, Aaron Hicks had an RBI and Gleyber Torres had a hit.  Stanton hit a double and Sanchez hit a homerun.  The Yankees were 2-6 with runners in scoring position and left four men on base.  Gardner was picked off and Sanchez and Hicks each committed an error. 

Brian Dozier drew a walk, Joe Mauer had a hit and Miguel Sano had a hit and drew a walk.  Eduardo Escobar had a hit and two RBI, Mitch Garver had a hit and Robbie Grossman had three hits and an RBI.  Ehire Adrianza had a hit and drew a walk and Ryan LaMarre drew a walk.  Grossman hit a double and Escobar and Grossman each hit a homerun.  The Twins were 0-4 with runners in scoring position and left nine men on base.  Dozier and Sano each committed an error and Gibson had a pickoff. 

In the third Escobar hit a two-run homerun to give the Twins a 2-0 lead.  In the sixth Grossman hit a solo homerun to push the lead to 3-0.  In the seventh Hicks hit a sac fly to cut the lead to 3-1 and in the ninth Sanchez hit a walk-off three-run homerun to give the Yankees a 4-3 victory. 
The Yankees swept the four-game series and went 8-2 on the homestand.  They have now won six games in a row and will head to Anaheim to begin a three-game series on Friday night.

New York Yankees win fifth straight with victory over the Minnesota Twins


The New York Yankees defeated the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday night.  The game took place at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, New York and the final score was 7-4.  Sonny Gray started for the Yankees and was a little better but still struggled.  The bullpen pitched well and Didi Gregorius led the offense with three hits. 

Gray pitched 4 2/3 innings giving up six hits and three runs with five walks and four strikeouts.  Chad Green picked up his second win of the season pitching 1 2/3 innings giving up three hits and a run with a walk and two strikeouts, Chasen Shreve pitched 2/3 of an inning with a strikeout and David Robertson pitched a perfect inning with a strikeout.  Aroldis Chapman saved his fourth game of the season pitching an inning and giving up a hit and he struck out one. 

Lance Lynn pitched 3 2/3 innings giving up seven hits and six runs with three walks and three strikeouts and took his second loss of the season.  Trevor Hildenberger pitched to one batter and retired him, Ryan Pressly pitched an inning giving up a hit and struck out two and Zach Duke pitched an inning giving up a hit and a walk and he struck out two.  Addison Reed pitched an inning giving up a hit and he struck out one and Taylor Rogers pitched an inning giving up a hit and a run with three walks.

In the first Sano hit a two-run homerun to give the Twins a 2-0 lead.  In the bottom of the first Gregorius hit an RBI single to cut the lead to 2-1.  In the third Gregorius hit a solo homerun to tie the game at two.  Austin hit a three-run homerun to give the Yankees a 5-2 lead.  In the fourth Grossman grounded into a force out and a run scored to cut the lead to 5-3.  In the fourth Judge hit a sac fly to make it a 6-3 game.  In the seventh Kepler hit an RBI single to cut the lead to 6-4.  In the eighth Stanton hit a sac fly to push the lead to 7-4 and that would be the final score. 

The Yankees have taken the first three games of the series and will look for the four game sweep on Thursday afternoon.

New York Yankees offense is at it again as they roll over the Minnesota Twins


The New York Yankees defeated the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday night.  The game took place at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, New York and the final score was 8-3.  CC Sabathia started for the Yankees and pitched very well.  Aaron Judge and Didi Gregorius each had three hits and Gary Sanchez and Gleyber Torres each had two hits to lead the offense. 

Sabathia pitched six innings giving up two hits and a run which was unearned.  He walked one and struck out four and earned his first victory of the season.  Dellin Betances pitched 1/3 of an inning giving up a hit and an unearned run with two walks and a strikeout, David Robertson pitched 2/3 of an inning with a strikeout and Chasen Shreve pitched an inning giving up two hits and a run with a strikeout.  Jonathan Holder pitched a perfect inning with two strikeouts. 

Jose Berrios pitched four innings giving up six hits and five runs with two walks and seven strikeouts and he lost his second game of the season.  Ryan Pressly pitched a perfect inning with three strikeouts, Tyler Duffey pitched two innings giving up four hits and three runs with a walk and a strikeout and Taylor Rogers pitched an inning with two strikeouts. 

Brett Gardner drew a walk, Judge had three hits and an RBI and Gregorius had three hits and three RBI.  Sanchez had two hits and three RBI, Aaron Hicks drew two walks and Torres had two hits and an RBI.  Judge hit a double, Sanchez hit two homeruns and Gregorius and Judge each hit a homerun.  The Yankees were 2-6 with runners in scoring position and left six men on base.  Judge, Walker, Betances and Torres each committed an error. 

Max Kepler had a hit, Miguel Sano drew a walk and Eduardo Escobar had three hits, an RBI and drew a walk.  Mitch Garver had a hit, Logan Morrison drew a walk and Escobar hit two doubles and Kapler hit a double.  The Twins were 2-10 with runners in scoring position and left five men on base.  Escobar was caught stealing and Garver committed an error. 

In the first Escobar hit an RBI double to give the Twins a 1-0 lead.  In the second Sanchez hit a solo homerun to tie the game at one.  In the third Gregorius hit an RBI single to give the Yankees a 2-1 lead.  In the fourth Torres hit an RBI single to push the lead to 3-1.  In the fifth Gregorius hit a two-run homerun and it was 5-1 Yankees.  In the seventh Garver hit an RBI single cutting the lead to 5-2.  in the bottom of the seventh Judge hit a solo homerun, Sanchez hit a two-run homerun and it was 8-2 Yankees.  In the eighth Escobar hit an RBI double to cut the lead to 8-3 and that would be the final score.   

The Yankees will look to take the series with a game on Wednesday night. 

New York Yankees beat up on the Minnesota Twins


The New York Yankees defeated the Minnesota Twins on Monday night.  The game took place at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, New York and the final score was 14-1.  Masahiro Tanaka started for the Yankees and pitched very well.  Giancarlo Stanton had four hits and Tyler Austin and Miguel Andujar had two hits each to lead the offense. 

Tanaka pitched 6 2/3 innings giving up three hits and a run with two walks and five strikeouts and he picked up his third win of the season.  Chad Green pitched 1/3 of an inning and walked one and David Hale pitched two innings giving up three hits and he struck out three. 

Jake Odorizzi pitched 4 2/3 innings giving up five hits and five runs with three walks and five strikeouts.  Odorizzi lost his second game of the season.  Trevor Hildenberger pitched 1 2/3 innings giving up two hits and a run with a walk and two strikeouts, Alan Busenitz pitched 2/3 of an inning giving up two hits and two runs with a walk and a strikeout and Tyler Kinley pitched 1/3 of an inning giving up three hits and five runs with two walks.  Ryan LaMarre pitched 2/3 of an inning giving up a hit and a run.

In the first Sanchez hit a two-run double to give the Yankees a 2-0 lead.  Hicks hit an RBI single to push the lead to 3-0.  In the second Andujar hit a solo homerun to extend the lead to 4-0.  In the fifth Dozier hit an RBI single to cut the lead to 4-1.  IN the fifth Stanton hit a solo homerun to push the Yankees lead to 5-1 and in the seventh he hit an RBI single to make it a 6-1 lead.  Austin hit a two-run double and it was 8-1 Yankees.  In the eighth Gregorius hit a grand slam to up the score to 12-1 and Austin hit a two-run homerun to make it 14-1 which would be the final score. 

The two teams will play game two of four on Tuesday night.

New York Yankees take series vs. the Blue Jays with Sunday victory


The New York Yankees defeated the Toronto Blue Jays on Sunday afternoon.  The game took place at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, New York and the final score was 5-1.  Luis Severino started for the Yankees and he pitched great.  Miguel Andujar led the offense with four hits. 

Severino pitched seven innings giving up three hits and a run with two walks and six strikeouts.  He picked up his fourth win of the season.  David Robertson pitched an inning giving up a hit and striking out one and Aroldis Chapman pitched an inning walking two and struck out one. 

Jaime Garcia pitched 5 1/3 innings giving up six hits and four runs with three walks and six strikeouts.  Garcia lost his first game of the season.  Seung Hwan Oh pitched 2/3 of an inning giving up a hit, Danny Barnes pitched an inning giving up a hit and an unearned run and John Axford pitched an inning giving up a hit. 

Aaron Hicks had a hit, Aaron Judge drew a walk and Didi Gregorius had a hit and two RBI.  Gary Sanchez had a hit and drew a walk, Tyler Austin had a hit and drew a walk and Andujar had four hits and an RBI.  Austin Romine had a hit and two RBI, Andujar hit two doubles and Romine and Sanchez each hit a double.  Gregorius hit a homerun and the Yankees were 3-8 with runners in scoring position and left six men on base.  Hicks had a stolen base. 

Teoscar Hernandez had two hits and an RBI, Justin Smoak had a hit and drew a walk and Russell Martin drew a walk.  Kendrys Morales drew a walk, Kevin Pillar had a hit and Devon Travis drew a walk.  Smoak hit a double and Hernandez hit a homerun.  The Blue Jays were 0-9 with runners in scoring position and left seven men on base.  Pillar had a stolen base and Martin committed an error. 

In the first Gregorius hit a solo homerun giving the Yankees a 1-0 lead.  In the second Romine hit a two-run double to push their lead to 3-0.  In the sixth Hernandez hit a solo homerun cutting the lead to 3-1.  In the bottom of the sixth Andujar hit an RBI double to make it a 4-1 game and in the seventh Gregorius hit a sac fly to make it 5-1 which would be the final score. 

The Yankees took three out of four in the series and will now begin a four game series with the Minnesota Twins on Monday night at home.

New York Mets lose a tough one in Atlanta


The New York Mets were defeated by the Atlanta Braves on Saturday.  The game took place at SunTrust Park in Atlanta, Georgia and the final score was 4-3.  Jacob deGrom started for the Mets and he pitched great, the bullpen did not pitch well.  Jose Reyes led the offense with three hits and Asdrubal Cabrera  had a couple of hits. 

deGrom pitched seven innings giving up four hits and no runs with two walks and ten strikeouts.  AJ Ramos pitched 1/3 of an inning giving up two runs with two walks and a strikeout, Jerry Blevins pitched 1/3 of an inning giving up a hit and he struck out one and Jeurys Familia lost his first game of the season and blew his second save of the season.  Familia pitched 2/3 of an inning giving up three hits and two runs with a walk and two strikeouts. 

Julio Teheran pitched seven innings giving up four hits and no runs with a walk and six strikeouts.  Sam Freeman pitched giving up a hit and three runs with two of them being earned and he walked one, Shane Carle pitched an inning giving up two hits and a walk with a strikeout and Jesse Biddle pitched an inning with a walk and he won his first game of the season. 

Michael Conforto had a hit and drew a walk, Cabrera had two hits and two RBI and Jay Bruce had a hit and an RBI.  Adrian Gonzalez drew a walk, Jose Lobaton drew a walk and Wilmer Flores drew a walk.  Reyes had three hits, the Mets were 3-11 with runners in scoring position and left eight men on base.  Reyes and Conforto each had a stolen base. 

Ender Inciarte had two hits and an RBI, Ozzie Albies drew a walk and Freddie Freeman had two hits and two RBI.  Nick Markakis drew a walk, Dansby Swanson had a hit and drew a walk and Johan Camargo had a hit, an RBI and drew a walk.  Carlos Perez had a hit, Kurt Suzuki had a hit and Ryan Flaherty drew a walk.  Freeman hit a double, Camargo hit a triple and the Braves were 3-9 with runners in scoring position and left eight men on base.  Inciarte and Swanson each had a stolen base and Inciarte was caught stealing.  Albies, Inciarte and Perez each committed an error. 

IN the eighth Cabrera hit a two-run single to give the Mets a 2-0 lead.  Bruce hit an RBI single to push the lead to 3-0.  In the bottom of the eighth Freeman hit a two-run double to cut the lead to 3-2.  In the ninth Camargo hit an RBI triple to tie the game at three and Inciarte hit an RBI single on a bunt to win the game 4-3.   

New York Mets defeated the Atlanta Braves in extra innings


The New York Mets defeated the Atlanta Braves on Friday night.  The game took place at Suntrust Park in Atlanta, Georgia and the final score was 5-3 in 12 innings.  Noah Syndergaard started for the Mets and he pitched well and the bullpen pitched well.  Asdrubal Cabrera, Wilmer Flores and Amed Rosario each had two hits to lead the offense. 

Syndergaard pitched six innings giving up seven hits and three runs with no walks and six strikeouts.  Seth Lugo pitched two innings with two walks and a strikeout, AJ Ramos pitched a perfect inning with two strikeouts and Robert Gsellman pitched two innings giving up a hit and a walk with three strikeouts and he won his second game of the season.  Jeurys Familia saved his eighth game of the season pitching a perfect inning. 

Sean Newcomb pitched six innings giving up six hits and three runs with two of them being earned.  He walked three and struck out five.  Dan Winkler pitched an inning with a walk and three strikeouts, Shane Carle pitched an inning giving up a hit and he struck out one and A.J. Minter pitched an inning with a walk and a strikeout.  Arodys Vizcaino pitched a perfect inning with a strikeout and Josh Ravin pitched two innings giving up two hits and two runs with a walk and a strikeout and he lost his first game of the season. 

Michael Conforto had an RBI and drew a walk, Yoenis Cespedes had a hit, an RBI and drew a walk and Cabrera had two hits, an RBI and drew a walk.  Todd Frazier drew a walk, Flores had two hits and an RBI and Jay Bruce had a hit.  Tomas Nido had a hit and drew a walk, Brandon Nimmo drew a walk and Rosario had two hits and an RBI.  Rosario hit two doubles, Bruce hit a double and Cabrera hit two doubles.  The Mets were 2-9 with runners in scoring position and left seven men on base.  Frazier had a stolen base. 

Ender Inciarte had a hit, Ozzie Albies had a hit, an RBI and drew a walk and Nick Markakis had a hit and drew a walk.  Kurt Suzuki had a hit and an RBI, Preston Tucker had a hit and Dansby Swanson had a hit. 

Ryan Flaherty had two hits, an RBI and drew a walk, Flaherty and Markakis each hit a double and Albies hit a homerun.  The Braves were 1-6 with runners in scoring position and left six men on base.  Flaherty and Inciarte each had a stolen base.  Flaherty and Albies each were caught stealing.  Inciarte and Freeman committed an error and Markakis had two outfield assists and Tucker had an outfield assist.   

In the first Albies hit a solo homerun to give the Braves a 1-0 lead.  In the third Rosario hit an RBI double to tie the game at one.  Conforto hit a sac fly to give them a 2-1 lead.  In the fourth Flores hit an RBI single to push the Mets lead to 3-1.  In the bottom of the fourth Flaherty hit an RBI double to cut the lead to 3-2.  In the sixth Suzuki hit a sac fly to tie the game at three.  In the 12th Cespedes hit an RBI single and Cabrera hit an RBI double to make it 5-3 and that was the final score. 

The two teams will play game three of four on Saturday.
