Yankees at Red Sox Game Two of Three

The New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox will play game two of their three game series this afternoon at 1:05PM.  The game will be on FOX, Ivan Nova and Clay Bucholz are the pitchers in this one.  It will be a battle of two young right handers.  Nova looked great all spring and had a good first start.  Clay Bucholz struggled at the end of last year and hasn't started off good this season.  Here are some quick notes and the lineup.

The Yankees had a tough day yesterday especially Phil Hughes.  Hughes has now gotten hit hard in both of his starts and is searching for answers.  His velocity is way down but they say there is nothing wrong with him physically.  He will go back to work and try to get it ironed out.  I would say if he has one more bad start he could be put on the DL or skipped.  We will have to see what happens with that.

The Yankees offense was good in the game but after they came back and then were within a run in the seventh inning Boone Logan gave up a couple more runs and the game was out of reach at 9-6.  Logan is the only lefty in the pen right now and he has been horrible.  He is another guy that has to get straightened out otherwise they will be looking for a new lefthander.

The Boston Red Sox are now 1-6 on the season and the Yankees are 4-3.  The Yankees will be trying to avoid their first losing streak of the season and the Red Sox will be trying to have their first winning streak of the season.

Yankees Lineup: Brett Gardner, Derek Jeter, Mark Teixeira, Alex Rodriguez, Robinson Cano, Nick Swisher, Curtis Granderson, Eric Chavez, Russell Martin.  Eric Chavez gets the start at DH, Jorge Posada has started to slump and they just wanted to get him a day off.
