The Jets go down to Philly and get manhandles by the Eagles

The New York Jets lost to the Philadelphia Eagles by the score of 45-19. This was a game that got really ugly and didn’t really change much from that. The Jets tried to stage a comeback with the help of some Philly turnovers but it wasn’t enough to overcome a huge first half deficit. The Eagles jumped out to a 28-0 lead. The Jets cut it to 28-13 at the half but that was as close as they would come.
Mark Sanchez of the Jets was 15-26 for 150 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. Mark Brunell did get into the game late and was 1-3 for 27 yards. Shonn Greene was the leading rusher with 18 carries for 73 yards. LaDainian Tomlinson rushed three times for nine yards, John Conner once for seven yards and Sanchez two times for three yards. Joe McKnight rushed three times for two yards. Dustin Keller caught the ball three times for 73 yards, Santonio Holmes caught the ball four times for 40 yards and a touchdown and McKnight caught one pass for 27 yards. Plaxico Burress caught one ball for nine yards and one touchdown. Jeremy Kerley had two catches for 16 yards and Tomlinson caught four balls for 12 yards. Nick Folk was 2-2 on field goals and his long was 39 yards, he made an extra point.

Michael Vick was 15-22 for 274 yards, one touchdown and one interception for the Eagles. LeSean McCoy rushed the ball 18 times for 102 yards and three touchdowns. McCoy broke the single season record for touchdowns by an Eagle. Vick rushed five times for 32 yards and a touchdown, Ronnie Brown rushed six times for 18 yards and Dion Lewis rushed the ball two times for 10 yards. Mike Kafka rushed the ball twice and got no yards. Brent Celek caught five passes for 156 yards and a touchdown, Jeremy Maclin caught three balls for 57 yards and DeSean Jackson caught two balls for 28 yards. Clay Harbor had two catches for 20 yards, Riley Cooper had one for 18 yards. Alex Henery made the only field goal he attempted from 28 yards and had six extra points.

David Harris had six tackles, an assist and a interception for the poor Jets defense. Muhammad Wilkerson had six tackles and a sack, Calvin Pace had six tackles and Marcus Dixon had a sack. The Jets defense was carved up. The Jets still right now are in the playoffs and control their own destiny. If they win out they will be in the postseason. The Jets will host the Giants on Saturday December 24th which is Christmas Eve. It should be an intense and entertaining game as both teams are fighting for their playoff lives and there is no love lost between either of the teams.
