New York Mets played to a tie with
the St. Louis Cardinals on Tuesday afternoon.
The game took place at First Data Field in Port St. Lucie, Florida and
the final score was 3-3. Robert Gsellman
pitched just ok for the Mets. Yoenis
Cespedes and Neil Walker each had two hits to lead the offense.
Gsellman pitched six innings giving
up five hits and three runs with a walk and six strikeouts. Jerry Blevins pitched an inning giving up two
hits and a walk, Addison Reed pitched an inning giving up a hit and a walk with
a strikeout and Jeurys Familia pitched a perfect inning with a strikeout.
Cespedes had two hits, Walker had
two hits and Lucas Duda had a hit and three RBI. Walker hit a double, Cespedes hit a triple and
Duda hit a homerun. The Mets were 1-6
with runners in scoring position and left two men on base.
In the fourth Matt Adams hit a
three-run homerun to give the Cardinals a 3-0 lead and in the bottom of the
fourth Duda hit a three-run homerun to tie the game and that was how it would
end.
