Mets at Marlins Game Two
The Mets will try to avoid a losing streak. Here is their lineup tonight at Florida. Reyes, Pagan, Wright, Beltran, Davis, Duda, Emaus, Thole, Niese. The Mets need more then 4 1/3 innings from the starter. The offense was facing one of the best so I wouldn't worry about them as much.

Day Off for Yankees
The New York Yankees are off today one of only 2 days off in the spring. They have shut down all operations making the players and coaches be completely off for the day, which is a good thing. There isn't any news to report on the blog today regarding the Yankees but I will post about the Mets later and I think I am going to do a season preview for the Yankees so check back later on for some more. Everyone enjoy the day and don't jump off the cliff over CC yesterday, he will be fine and so will the Yanks it is only spring training.
Johan makes his first start for the Mets today so its a big day for him the Mets and their fans. Manny Ramirez is also making his first start of the spring for the Dodgers today, that should be interesting. I think this guy could hit in his sleep though so im sure signing so late won't affect him at all.

Ben Sheets Hurt your kidding
Ben Sheets the free agent pitcher that has been out there all offseason and people couldn't figure out why, is having surgery to repair a torn flexor tendon in his elbow. He decided it was better to just get this fixed now and hope to come back in the second half of this season. He had agreed to a 2 yr deal with Texas and this came to light during the physical. Sheets was told he could try and pitch through it but that it would go at anytime. This is being reported by Si.com.
It was also noted at si.com that the Yankees had offered Andruw Jones a minor league deal with an invite to spring training but he turned it down.
The Ben Sheets story should tame all the fans that were wondering why the Yankees or Mets didn't go after him, now you know why.
