Johan rolls, Mets win

The New York Mets defeated the Washington Nationals by a score of 4-1 tonight in Port St. Lucie. Johan Santana rolled in a tuneup to his opening day start. He threw seven innings giving up 1 run on 4 hits with 6 strikeouts. Francisco Rodriguez pitched an inning giving up 2 hits, 0 runs and 2 strikeouts. Pedro Feliciano pitched a perfect inning with 1 strikeout. David Wright was 1-4, Carlos Delgado was 2-4. Carlos Beltran was 1-4 and Fernando Tatis was also 1-4 with 2 rbi. Daniel Murphy was 3-4 with 2 rbi. The Mets will take on the Marlins tomorrow with Livan Hernandez scheduled to pitch in a minor league game.
