Minor league Game

The AAA Scranton Yankees won their game 2-1. Phil Hughes got the start and continued his good pitching with 5 innings of 4 hit, 1 run ball. He had 1 walk and 4k. Anthony Claggett pitched 2 innings giving up 2 hits, o runs with 2k. J.B. Cox pitched 2 innings giving up 1 hit, 0 runs and 3k. Kevin Russo was 1-2 with 2 walks, rbi and sb, Kyle Anson was 2-3 with a rbi. Eric Duncan was 0-3 with a walk, he has been playing in the outfield which is interesting. Kevin Russo who is an infielder also got a start in the OF and misplayed a ball there. Phil Hughes didn't throw many curveballs but when he did it was effective and the crowd was even going "ohhh".

  1. Hey Gary, if it was up to you, would you have Hughes pitch the entire season in AAA or bring him up as soon as there is an injury in the starting rotation?

  2. I would bring him up as long as he is healthy and pitching well. I think he will be used more then people think in the big leagues.
