Regular Season Game 5-Yankees At Rays

The New York Yankees will play their 2nd of 3 games against the Rays this afternoon in St. Petersburg. The game is at 3:10PM on Fox. CC Sabathia will make the start going up against Wade Davis for the Rays. The Yankees lost the opener 9-3 last night and are 2-2 on the young season. The Rays are 3-1 coming out of the gate quick. He will become the 39th player to so with the Yankees and first since Jorge Posada did it in 2005. He also needs 1 more homerun to pass Mark McGwire for 8th on the all time list. Over the last 3 games the Yankees bullpen has given up 1 earned run and 0 walks in 10 1/3 innings. They have gone 2-0 and 0.87 era in that span. Mark Teixeira is 0-16 to start his season matching his career high in hitless at bats from the start of a season. He originally did that as a rookie in 2003. Mark Teixiera turns 30 tomorrow.
