The Mets couldn't come up with a big hit today. They left plenty of men on base and their rally came up just short. They loaded the bases in the ninth inning and pinch hitter Rod Barajas hit a sinking line drive that Willie Harris made a diving backhanded stop on to preserve the win. The Mets have a chance to win the series with their ace Johan Santana on the mound tomorrow. They also will play their final game of the homestand.
