This game had controversy. In the sixth before Lindor hit his grand-slam
there was a hit-by-pitch that actually hit the knob of the bat and was caught
by Sanchez for what would have been strike three but Joe Girardi did not
challenge and instead it was ruled a hit by pitch and set up the bases loaded
for the grand slam to happen. If it was
challenged it would have been 8-3 Yankees in the seventh inning. Instead the Yankees are down 0-2 headed to NY
to try and avoid the sweep.
