The New York Mets defeated the Los Angeles
Dodgers on Saturday. The game took place
at Citi Field in Flushing, New York and the final score was 3-0. Jacob deGrom started for the Mets and he
pitched great. The Mets offense only produced
three hits.
deGrom pitched seven innings giving
up three hits and no runs with no walks and eight strikeouts. Seth Lugo won his sixth game of the season
pitching a perfect inning with three strikeouts and Justin Wilson saved his
third game of the season pitching a perfect inning with a strikeout.
Hyun-Jin Ryu pitched seven innings
giving up two hits and no runs. He
walked none and struck out six. Adam
Kolarek pitched to one batter and struck him out, Joe Kelly lost his fourth
game of the season pitching 1/3 of an inning giving up a run and he struck out
one and Julio Urias pitched 1/3 of an inning giving up a hit and ow runs with a
walk and a strikeout.
Amed Rosario had a hit and drew a
walk, Rajai Davis had a hit and three RBI and Robinson Cano had a hit. Davis hit a double and the Mets were 1-2 with
runners in scoring position and left three men on base.
Cody Bellinger had a hit, Corey
Seager had a hit and A.J. Pollock had a hit.
The Dodgers were 0-3 with runners in scoring position and left four men
on base.
In the eighth Davis hit a three-run
double to give the Mets a 3-0 lead and that was the only scoring of the
game. The two teams have split the first
two games of the series and will play the third and rubber game of the series
on Sunday night.
