New York Yankees take second straight over the Boston Red Sox

The New York Yankees defeated the Boston Red Sox on Saturday night.  The game took place at

 the Yankees and he pitched ok, the bullpen was great.  Mike Tauchman led the offense with three hits

and Gio Urshela had a grand-slam. 

Tanaka pitched 2 2/3 innings giving up four hits and two runs with a walk and a strikeout.  Luis

Avilan pitched 1 1/3 innings giving up no hits or runs and he struck out two, Nick Nelson made an

impressive major league debut tossing three hitless and scoreless innings with a couple of walks and

four strikeouts.  David Hale earned his first save of the season pitching two innings and giving up

two hits with a walk and three strikeouts. 

Zack Godley pitched  3 1/3 innings for the Red Sox and he gave up six hits and five runs with two

walks and a strikeout.  Chris Mazza pitched 2 2/3 innings giving up a hit and he walked two and

struck out three, Ryan Brasier pitched an inning with two strikeouts and Josh Osich pitched an inning

giving up a hit and he struck out one. 

Aaron Judge had a hit, an RBI and drew a walk, Luke Voit had two hits and Tauchman had three hits.

Gary Sanchez had a hit and drew a walk, Urshela had a hit, four RBI and drew a walk and Brett

Gardner drew a walk.  Judge and Urshela each hit a homerun and the Yankees were 2-6 with runners

in scoring position and left seven men on base.  Urshela had a stolen base and Tauchman had two

stolen bases.  Torres committed an error.

Andrew Benintendi drew two walks, Kevin Pillar had two hits and Rafael Devers had a hit.  Xander

Bogaerts had a hit and an RBI, Christian Vasquez had a hit, Jackie Bradley Jr. drew two walks and

Tzu-Wei Lin had a hit.  Bogaerts hit a double and the Red Sox were 1-4 with runners in scoring

position and left eight men on base. 

In the first Judge hit a solo homerun to make it 1-0 and then Urshela hit a grand-slam in the second

to push the lead to 5-0.  In the third Bogaerts hit a two-run double to cut the lead to 5-2 but that

would be the final score.  The Yankees will look for the three-game sweep on Sunday night.  The

Yankees have now won five games in a row.
