Yanks go for Sweep

The Yankees are 4-1 against the Tigers this year and have won four in a row. Here are the notes and lineup via Peter Abraham. The Yankees are 18-5 against the AL Central this year. Joba is 1-1 with a 5.05 era in his last 7 starts. Opponents are hitting 311 against him. Phil Hughes has not allowed a run in his last 12 appearances which is a stretch of 15 2/3 innings. He has allowed 8 hits, 3 walks and has 19 strikeouts. He has 0.89 era in 14 relief appearances. Mo has allowed one run over his last 15 appearances. He has a save in 8 of the last 11 victories and has converted 21 straight save oppurtunities. Derek Jeter is hitting 431 in his last 12 games. He has 9 runs scored, 5 rbi's, 8 walks and only 4 strikeouts. Robbie Cano has a 10 game hitting streak batting 390 during the streak. Brian Bruney has not pitched since July 10th. He has really struggled since coming back going 6 1/3 innings with 6 runs and 9 hits and 8 walks. A-rod has 571 homeruns, he needs 3 more to pass Harmon Killebrew and take over 9th place all time. It was really great to see Moose out there again and here him interviewed by Kim Jones. Old Timers Day is always a great day.
