Yanks walkoff with win and Cano gets pie

The New York Yankees defeated the Chicago White Sox tonight by the score of 5-2 in 10 innings. The question of the night once again for the Yankees was who wants pie and Robinson Cano wanted it, he hit a 3 run walkoff homerun for the win. CC Sabathia got the start and was dominant and then hit a rough patch in the 7th innings. He gave up 2 runs on 8 hits in 7 innings. He also had 10 strikeouts. Phil Hughes pitched the 8th and struck out the heart of the order. Mariano Rivera pitched the ninth inning 1-2-3 and Brian Bruney pitched the 10th inning 1-2-3. The offense once again wasn't getting the clutch hits. Johnny Damon and Melky Cabrera each had 2 hits, Johnny Damon had a solo homerun. Derek Jeter had a hit, A-rod had a hit and a walk. Hideki Matsui had a hit and a walk and Jose Molina had a hit. The Yankees are now 6 1/2 games ahead of the Red Sox for first place in the AL east depending on the outcome of the Sox game tonight which is currently in a rain delay tied at 5. The Yankees will send Sergio Mitre to the mound tomorrow against a starter that has still yet to be determined. The Yankees are also now currently 4 games ahead of the Angels for #1 seed and home field advantage thoroughout the playoffs. The Angels are currently losing and that could go to 4 1/2 or 3 1/2 with a Angels win.
