Yoenis Cespedes had a hit, James Loney had a hit and two RBI and Asdrubal Cabrera had a hit.  Kelly Johnson had a hit and drew a walk, Brandon Nimmo had a hit and Curtis Granderson had a hit.  Johnson hit a double and Loney hit a homerun.  The Mets were 0-5 with runners in scoring position and left five men on base.  Johnson committed an error.

Ben Revere had a hit and drew a walk, Jayson Werth had a hit and an RBI and Bryce Harper drew two walks.  Daniel Murphy had two hits and three RBI, Wilson Ramos drew a walk and Danny Espinosa had a hit and drew a walk.  Espinosa hit a double, Murphy hit two homeruns and the Nationals were 0-3 with runners in scoring position and left five men on base.

In the second Murphy hit a solo homerun to give the Nationals a 1-0 lead.  In the third Werth hit a sac fly to make it a 2-0 Nationals lead.  Murphy hit a two run homerun in the eighth to extend the lead to 4-0.  In the ninth Loney hit a two run homerun to cut the lead to 4-2 but that would be the final score of the game.

The Mets were swept in the three game series and continue to struggle as of late.  They have been hit with injuries and they just haven't been very good lately.  They will try to find their was at home with the Cubs coming to town for four big games.
