The New York Mets were defeated by
the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday night.
The game took place at Miller Park, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and the
final score was 4-1. Bartolo Colon
started and pitched ok. The Mets offense
only managed three hits as they really continue to struggle.
Colon pitched six innings giving up
ten hits and four runs with a walk and three strikeouts. Colon took his sixth loss of the season. Logan Verrett pitched two innings giving up a
walk and he struck out one.
Jimmy Nelson pitched eight innings
giving up two hits and a run with a walk and five strikeouts. Nelson won his fourth game of the
season. Francisco Rodriguez saved his
15th game of the season pitching an inning and giving up a hit and he struck
out one.
Curtis Granderson had a hit, an RBI
and drew a walk, Ruben Tejada had a hit and Johnny Monell had a hit.
Tejada hit a double and Granderson hit a homerun. The Mets were 0-1 with runners in scoring
position and left two men on base.
Gerardo Parra had a hit, Jonathan
Lucroy had two hits and Ryan Braun had two hits and an RBI. Adam Lind had two hits, an RBI and drew a
walk, Carlos Gomez had a hit and an RBI and Aramis Ramirez had a hit. Scooter Gennett had a hit an RBI and drew a
walk. Parra, Lind and Ramirez each hit a
double and Gennett hit a homerun. The
Brewers were 4-10 with runners in scoring position and left seven men on
base.
In the first Braun hit an RBI
single to give the Brewers a 1-0 lead.
Lind hit an RBI double to make it
10-0. In the fourth Granderson hit a
solo homerun to make it 2-1. In the
fifth Gomez hit an RBI single and in the sixth Gennett hit a solo homerun to
make it 4-1. The Mets have now lost
seven straight
