New York Yankees win second in a row in Seattle


The New York Yankees defeated the Seattle Mariners on Friday night.  The game took place at Safeco Field in Seattle, Washington and the final score was 5-1.  CC Sabathia started for the Yankees and he pitched ok, the bullpen was really good and Didi Gregorius had three hits and Chase Headley two with four RBI from Aaron Judge to lead the offense. 

Sabathia pitched five innings giving up four hits and a run with three walks and five strikeouts.  Sabathia won his ninth game of the season.  Tommy Khanle pitched an inning with a strikeout, David Robertson pitched a perfect inning striking out the side and Dellin Betances pitched an inning giving up two hits and he struck out two.  Adam Warren pitched an inning giving up a hit. 

Andrew Moore pitched six innings giving up nine hits and five runs with a walk and two strikeouts.  Moore lost his second game of the season.  Emilio Pagan pitched three innings giving up two hits and a walk with a strikeout. 

Brett Gardner had a hit, Gary Sanchez had a hit and drew a walk and Judge had a hit, four RBI and drew a walk.  Matt Holliday had a hit, Starlin Castro had a hit and Gregorius had three hits.  Headley had two hits, C. Frazier had a hit and an RBI and Headley and C. Frazier each hit a double.  Judge hit a homerun and the Yankees were 2-5 with runners in scoring position and left six men on base.  Sanchez had a passed ball. 

Robinson Cano had a hit and drew a walk, Nelson Cruz had a hit and drew a walk and Kyle Seager had a hit, an RBI and drew a walk.  Mitch Haniger had two hits, Ben Gamel had two hits and Gamel and Cano each hit a double.  The Mariners were 3-12 with runners in scoring position and left nine men on base. 

In the first Seager hit an RBI single to give the Mariners a 1-0 lead.  In the third C. Frazier hit an RBI double, Judge hit a sac fly and it was 2-1 Yankees.  In the fifth Judge hit a three-run homerun to push the Yankees lead to 5-1 and that would be the final score. 
The Yankees have taken the first two games of the series and will play game three on
